The Blood Center is now interviewing for a full-time clerical assistant to prepare medical notifications, take minutes at committee meetings and more. This position requires well developed organizational and communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality and manage records. Previous medical or legal clerical experience is a plus!

POSITION'S PRIMARY PURPOSE |
|
Provide clerical and related services to the President/CEO, the Board of Trustees and the Medical Director, to serve as an initial resource for donor concerns and questions, coordinate special projects for medical/legal affairs, notify donors of abnormal test results, maintain insurance, lease and contract files, prepare documentation for internal and external attorneys and insurance companies as needed for legal cases, initiate notification of legal petitions to TBC’s attorneys and insurance companies and serve as “Medical Records Custodian.”

QUALIFICATIONS: |
|
Licenses: Valid driver’s license |
|
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, some college desirable |
|
Experience: Three years clerical experience in medical or legal offices |
|
Specific Skills: Professional demeanor, excellent customer service, communication, organizational and follow- through skills, excellent grammar and spelling abilities, ability to maintain extreme confidentiality and work independently, proficient in MS Office software (including merging files, creating database), ability to manage archived records, review and/or process a large volume of critical documents and mailings and ability to handle highly detaileddata with minimal errors
